Cut It Out

A Little Monogrammed Gift
As I have been working with all this leather, and I had a birthday gift to find I thought that I would combine the two and make a personalised little purse for my friend Vicki.
I look for hours at different monogramming ideas and letters and designs with all the twiddly bits (I'm sure there is a proper name for them, but I don't know what it is). I finally realised that the monogramming not only should represent the person through the initials, but also through the style too. Vicki is the most optimistic, bright, fun person I know. So the colours, had to reflect that too, she loves turquoise, and little girlie tweaks, but not too girly so I though to put the initial in a frame. Here's how it looked!

Ooo New bag!
Hello, Whilst I have been busy trying to learn Italian and cook my way through serveral recipe books, I have also been trying to come up with a way to make some money whilst I'm on the job hunt.
This particular bag won't be for sale but the same colour will be, this isn't perfect enough yet! There will be plain ones, embroidered ones and embellished ones.

Bag Prototype One
So this is what the first bag looks like, not pretty, but it's helping me to shape the design further, and to understand the contruction, which most people will tell you I'm not great at, so this is a really good learning curve for me.
I'm continuing on with my tasks for 2013, and it's going quite well so far. I do feel I need to burn off some physical energy somehow but it's so cold and frosty outside that I don't fancy doing anything too strenuous. Maybe a walk to the shops later will be on the cards.
