Where I've Been..

I have finally started interning (yes, AGAIN!) at Matthew Williamson, which is one of my all time favourite designers. Speaking from an embroidery designer's point of view, the use of embroidery and embellishment throughout the collections has always been incredible, now I get to see how it's done first hand!As you will be aware London Fashion Week is coming to an end, but all of us interns we on call for the Matthew Williamson show, dressing models, making up gift bags (this year sponsored by the Cologne house 4711) and generally running around making sure everything looks absolutely fantastic before heading down the catwalk. This season, Matthew Williamson showed at The Royal Opera House, which is such an amazing venue, and seeing it all come to life was so incredible and such a great opportunity. The other interns had been there from the beginning of the collection , so for them it was an even more special event, seeing everything finally finished and brought to life, for a 5 minute show, and then on to the after-party at Nobu, you know, perks of the job!
So now A/W 12 is over, we will get back to designing for the Pre collections, which means seeing it from the beginning, the initial inspiration, the designs, the swatches.. Ohh I'm excited!!
Anyway to tide you over until then, here are some of the looks I helped to dress at the show, and helped to sew and like in general!
P.S. Thanks to style.com for the images!

The first look I helped to dress

I love this, the dress is gorgeous, and I helped to get this model ready!

The beautiful beading around the neckline is an applique that I sewed on, I know, it's not like I designed it, but it's all part of the fun!

My absolute favourite look, and the model I helped to dress. The amazing necklace is from Shourouk. I wish!
