Butterflies and Bugs

Where has the time gone, i must apologise for the delay in posting- I can assure you it is all because of stitching craziness.

Anyway here is a visual of some little bits and pieces I have been working on:

Swanning around...

A little update on pieces that I have been working on.
I seem to be fascinated by a bird every season and this time I have been looking at Swans. I love the fact that you can make embroideries of the same animal completely different using lots of techniques or keeping it incredibly simple.

Floral Shadow

I have been playing with graphic floral shapes and light and shade. It's been really fun to balance colour, texture and shape to create fun, floral designs.

Some Things for Summer

Even though the shows are telling us what to wear for AW15/16 and we haven't even got to Spring 15,  with the rain and wind.  I have been sitting inside designing for Spring Summer 16! Phew, at least it is making me a little bit more optimistic about spring finally making its appearance!

Here is a sneaky peak at what I have been up to for my agency See+QUIN

High Summer Sewing

Sorry it's been so long, Christmas and getting inspired has taken a while. Trying to sew things for High Summer while your fingers are turning blue with the cold is less than fun.

However, the work must continue. So....

Deliciously Dark

As it starts to get a little bit chillier here in England, my thoughts turn to darker textiles, with pops of bright colours to remind us of the fun that is to be had, Christmas and New Year spring to mind! Fireworks, fizz, parties all with a bit more sparkle!

Julien Colombier. Gorgeous texture and colour.

Anya Hindmarch. Knows a thing or two about bags.

Michael Van Der Ham. Collage of fabrics, textures and colours.

Lillia Csésfalvay. Amazing texture. Dreamy.
